Our Vision
To move individuals out of a place of vulnerability and into a position of being self-sufficient and generous members of their community. At SALT Projects, we believe that true transformation begins when people are not only supported in their time of need, but empowered to thrive—so they, in turn, can uplift others. Our vision is grounded in compassion, dignity, and the belief that everyone has the potential to contribute meaningfully to their community when given the right support.

From Vulnerability to Self-Sufficiency.
At SALT Projects, we believe that every person deserves the chance to live with dignity, purpose, and hope. That’s why we’re committed to walking alongside those in vulnerable circumstances—offering not just relief, but real, lasting transformation. Through consistent care, support, and empowerment, we help individuals regain stability and discover their own strength.
When people are equipped to stand on their own, they can begin to lift others too. Our vision is not only to meet urgent needs, but to cultivate self-sufficient, generous individuals who contribute meaningfully to their communities. Because true change doesn’t end with one life—it ripples outward, strengthening families, schools, and neighbourhoods.

Who We Are
SALT Projects is a South African non-profit organisation with a heart for restoration. We exist to walk alongside people in vulnerable situations—offering care, dignity, and a path toward self-sufficiency. Our work is grounded in compassion, community, and the belief that every person has the potential to thrive when given the right support.
We are not here to fix people—we’re here to stand with them, support them, and empower them to take steps toward a future filled with purpose and generosity.

What We Do
We focus on two key areas: Nutrition and Wellbeing.
-
Through our School Feeding Programme, we provide daily meals to children and monthly food parcels to their families, easing the burden of hunger and improving focus and performance at school.
-
Our Wellbeing Programme supports individuals emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually. We assess each person’s needs and offer tailored support—from counselling and mentorship to access to social services. One of our core initiatives, Isidima, empowers vulnerable women by restoring their dignity and confidence through life skills and emotional care.
Everything we do is designed to move people forward—toward independence, toward generosity, and toward becoming strong, contributing members of their communities.
